13+ mile fishing lease along Tarryall Creek. Each property owner in these communities automatically becomes a member of the TFC and pays annual dues as part of their subdivision’s assessment.



🏞️ History & Origins

  • In 1976, developers the Rawhide Company began developing land along County Road 77 between Jefferson and Lake George, Colorado.

  • As part of their land deal, they signed a 99-year fishing lease with the Sibley family, owners of property along Tarryall Creek, with an option to renew for another 99 years.

  • The fishing amenity was marketed as a sales incentive for lots in Lost Park Ranch and Stagestop. Fish were stocked in reservoirs and stretches of the creek.

  • By 1991, the developers turned the management of the fishing club over to the HOAs of Lost Park Ranch and Stagestop, who registered Articles of Incorporation with the Colorado Secretary of State to officially form Tarryall Fishing Club, Inc.


📋 Membership & Meetings

  • Membership is automatic with lot ownership in Lost Park Ranch or Stagestop.

  • Annual dues are collected by each HOA, then transferred to TFC.

  • Each April, members receive TFC Membership Cards and a notice of the Annual Membership Meeting, held in May.

  • Members must be current on both HOA and TFC dues to vote at the annual meeting.

  • All owners are invited and encouraged to attend—this is where decisions about the management and future of the fishing amenity are made.


🐟 Stocking & Fishing Access

  • Each summer, fish are stocked in:

    • Three augmentation ponds

    • Multiple locations along the 10+ mile leased stretch of Tarryall Creek

  • Members must use designated access points to enter the river.

  • TFC has its own fishing rules, but all members must also follow Colorado Parks & Wildlife regulations.

  • Requirements for fishing:

    • 🎫 Valid TFC Membership Card

    • 🎣 Colorado Fishing License (age 16+)
